How can I Submit my CD, DVD, Art or Other Products to Catbone?
The best way to ensure that your title receives full coverage is for you to
send us one copy of the product along with any relevant promotional materials,
such as press releases and artist photos. All materials should be addressed to:

What happens once CATBONE receives my product?
Your CD or DVD will go through a data entry and scanning process in which
everything from credits to track and chapter listings, to cover art will be
entered into the database. CATBONE editors may also assign descriptors such as
genres, styles, and moods to the title. Your product will then be stored in our
archive in case there is a future need to review, add to, or correct the data.
How long will it take for my product to appear on the CATBONE web site?
Your product should appear on our web site within 4-6 weeks after we receive
your materials, if it is accepted by Catbone. We have the right of Refusal if
any of the following criteria is not met:
1. Fails to meet our criteria of standards of quality, this includes packaging, production quality and performance quality.
2. If your information is poorly written, misleading or falsified in any manner.
3. If your product does not fit into our style, which is determined solely at the discretion of Catbone UnReleased Music & Film, LLC.
My title is a theatrical film, not a physical product. Can it still be
listed in the database?
Certainly. Simply mail a press kit to the Product Submissions address listed
above. Make sure all information on runtime, Cast, Director, Producer and a synopsis are included. Please list where it
has shown, any festival awards or other information you have. We primarily look
for music oriented films and documentaries.
Will CATBONE review my product, or
write my biography?
YES we will review, NO we will not write your biography, these elements are a
required part of any professional package we accept submissions on. However, we
do try to review as many CDs, Films, Merchandise
and DVDs as possible, but we can’t make any promises about
which titles and performers will receive this level of coverage. Resource
constraints make it necessary for us to prioritize coverage based on factors such
as current popularity, historical or artistic importance.
Press Kits, biography or a write-up on my product, is this necessary?
YES ! Our editorial policy is that all
reviews, synopses, and biographies at CATBONE must be up to presentation and
editorial standards so we cannot use copy supplied by artists and labels or
studios if it is not a well written, polished and professional piece. We look
for spelling errors, poor grammar, and any falsification will get your product
turned down. In addition your biographical information, reviews or write ups
are part of your professional image, and properly compiled will drive sales for
your product. In addition this copy is
very helpful to us and our press alliances as research material, so please
ensure to include your press kit as part of your product submission package. It is
required.
How will I know about the status of my submission?
YOU will receive an auto response with an assigned filing number in an email
informing you that your product has been received in our offices. You may inquire about the status of your
product submission after thirty (30) days via postal mail or email. YOU must
have your filing number and include it in any correspondence to us at (Submissions@catbonemusic.com)
but due to the volume of inquiries we receive, we cannot guarantee a personal
response. Phone inquiries are not
accepted. We are also unable to grant requests that your title be moved
up in priority for review or entered into the database within a specific time
frame, all commercially available titles submitted will be entered on a
first-come, first-served basis, provided your product is determined suitable
for Catbone.
